Continue with a visit to a Batik manufacturer. Malaysian Batik popularly features floral motifs and is lightly and vibrantly coloured. Out in the countryside enter the limestone hills of Batu Caves. It is the shrine of Lord Murugah, a Hindu deity, and is one of the most frequented Hindu sites outside of India, and the focal point for Malaysian Hindus during the festival of Thaipusam. A flight of 272 steps leads up to the cavernous temple cave.

We begin the tour at the National Zoo, the largest zoo in Malaysia, located 13km Northeast of Kuala Lumpur. The National Zoo houses some 200 species of animals, birds and reptiles, while the aquarium has 80 species of marine and fresh water species. Within the extensive grounds is an area for sea lions where visitors can see them being most active during feeding time. Proceed to the Royal Selangor factory to see the pewter gallery, which offers interactive displays and fascinating exhibits.
